A French Security Researcher with Internet name "Elliot Anderson" and Twitter handle @fs0c131y has been looking into security breaches of India. And what he has found is of great concern.
The story begins as Mr. Alderson tweets the following tweet and get no response from the officials.
Mr. Alderson created a video of "How to Bypass the Password of official Aadhar Card Application"
Also, Mr. Alderson tweeted and told that he would try to find some Aadhar Cards in 3 hours.
And within 3 hours, approximately 20k Aadhar Cards were found open over the internet.
Well, after some hustle UIDAI finally came up with some replies as you can see in the below-attached screenshots.
And, lastly.
There are many government websites which lack security and Mr. Alderson found some Aadhar cards on one such site and posted it publically.
After this tweet, the mentioned website turned to a blank page after few hours but still, the data was accessible as per the tweet of the Security Researcher.
Well, his main motive was to wake up government and make them aware of the security lacks in the Aadhar Project.
Even after providing this much of the security loopholes, none of the officials consulted the researcher and thus making a final move he published some of the Google Dorks which leas to the open Aadhar Cards, as shown below.
This was a quick update on the recent Aadhar Card so-called "Hack" from the last week.
